On Sunday, the last performance of the first summer run, Mary Ellen Brooks came to see the show. She is director emerita of the University of Georgia Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, which houses a vast collection of letters, manuscripts, photographs, and other materials from Margaret Mitchell’s estate.

Having read most of the archival material concerning Margaret Mitchell, I think Melita has done a masterful job of selecting just the right material to include in her play.
